COMPASS Community

Many children and teens who have experienced trauma struggle to thrive in family home environments and experience regular placement changes. Seneca has designed the COMPASS program, a community of single family homes in gorgeous Petaluma, California, as a place for these young people to work towards healing. Each home is occupied by one youth and our Enhanced Foster Caregivers. Together, these caregivers create a community focused on providing unconditional care to youth with a high need for behavioral and emotional support. We provide furnished housing, pay all utilities and provide quality training and a generous stipend to our caregivers.  Seneca's top-notch on-site clinicians and mental health counselors provide 24/7 assistance and daily support. Each youth stays for up to six months and each family cares for one youth at a time.
